images of Hale-Bopp titled "First Contact" (See Earthly
Giant's Fingers reaching out to touch the Comet) was taken 4/4/97 at
about 9:30 PM with Fuji 800 film and Minolta 135mm lens at f/2
mounted "piggyback" on old Tasco 2.4 inch refractor
telescope and hand guided for 6 minutes. |

Photos taken
on a dark windy night from the scenic rock formations of Indian Cove
Campground at Joshua Tree National Park about 50 miles north of Palm
Springs.
We had a great
evening looking at and photographing this great celestial visitor. |

is my hope that those viewing these images take the time to get out
and actually see the great heavenly wonders that are there for our
pleasure and enjoyment and point to the incredible awesomeness of
the creator.

Thinking
it to be a text file, I brought up the file with the intent
of copying so I could read it later. What happened next was truly
remarkable. The file sort of "deteriorated" into a series of
command lines that lasted approximately two minutes. Once it was done
running, there it was. I had found a
direct link-up to the Hubble space telescope. Not only that, but it was
pointed directly at the comet Hale-Bopp. The program was running some
kind of analysis. Taking directional notes, projecting path of travel,
etc. After realizing what I had discovered, I started searching and came
across an e-mail data trail that led directly to the office of the Pope
himself. What was discussed, I cannot know. Over
the next two weeks, I began to uncover evidence that the Vatican is very
aware of the existence of the companion, and is VERY worried
about it. I began to copy files and pictures that were present at the
terminal, when I found a report from the United Nations to the Vatican,
as well as a report from NASA regarding their concerns. It
is very obvious to me that a great many people and entities know of the
companion and are doing their best to keep quiet. VERY quiet. "WORMWOOD?"
Here is a short summary of the major
events related to Hale-Bopp alleged companion:

November
14, 1996: Chuck Shramek takes a CCD image of the comet.
One of the background stars displays some spikes, giving it a
"Saturn-like" look. On Art Bell's radio show, Mr.Shramek
announced this Saturn-Like Object (SLO) to the world. The rumor
spread on the net that this object was a huge spacecraft (3 times as
large as the Earth). The original
image is compared to the Palomar Sky Survey, and the SLO is
identified as star SAO 141894.

November-December
1996: Other SLOs were "discovered" in images
released on different web sites. In all cases, the SLO was
identified as a star and/or some CCD artifacts. A table
lists all the "SLO" and companions I heard of, with the
explanation of the phenomena which caused it. In order to help those
who are not experience working with CCD images, the two pages linked
below constitute a short summary of CCD imaging analysis techniques:

January
15, 1997: a new "UFO"
picture was posted on Art Bell's and Whitley Strieber's web
sites. We have identified that image as being a fake based on an
image obtained by an astronomer at the University of Hawaii's
Institute for Astronomy, Dr. David Tholen.
A statement
has been issued about this fraud (in HTML format with figures).
Dr. Brown (who sent the
hoax to Bell and Strieber) claims he received the original photo on
film rolls. This is impossible since the original photo were
obtained digitally. More
details, including the real, raw images directly from the telescope,
are available on this site.

March
26, 1997: Thirty nine members
of a cult were found dead in their Californian mansion. They
apparently died in a carefully organized suicide. It seems that the
victims believed they were going to meet Hale-Bopp's companion. I
hope they found the peace they were searching, even if there was no
