Neither can America or any other nation become an "official" Christian entity simply by declaration of body politics, as God has not ordained any political group or person to make that call. God is no respecter of persons. God's faith, or official government is in the individual heart; it isn't something we can make decisions about like a holiday or special sports event. If the world was filled with despotic people and only on genuine Christian were here, God's church would still be present, as would His government in that person. God's kingdom (government) is not of this world. Understanding that the kingdom of God (government) being in the heart, (spirit is spirit and flesh is flesh) then all such redeemed individuals throughout the earth make up the "church." Man is the Temple of God, not Washington, or Moscow or any other national man made power structure. Jesus said; "Know ye not that ye are the Temple of the Holy Ghost (Temple of GOD)?" With the preceding facts established, we can proceed to see just how Christianity became America's "official" faith. America was founded as a Christian nation by common agreement and rule, being a power or government sanctioned by, authorized by and given by God alone. Christianity was brought to America via the "great commission;" go ye into all the world and preach the gospel (good news) to every creature; Christianity wasn't born in America, Christianity was born in Jerusalem and God ordained by His divine grace that it would reach the shores of this new found land. To suggest "America has never had an official faith" is to be arrogant, selfish and presumptuous, denying spiritual foundations of all the former founders, settlers, powers and leaders that have preceded the contemporary set of unbelievers who are dedicated to destroying the works of God. American's believed and practiced a puritan, biblically based religion in a common bond, framing our entire governing structure on the Judeo/Christian faith, as well as our future and political foundations on these beliefs and a faith in a sovereign God. America's greatest schools and universities were constructed as "Christian schools." On our coins is inscribed "IN GOD WE TRUST," our currency is official property of the United States government. Since the United States government has declared that God is our source of faith, in writing, on an official piece of US property, and since Jesus IS God, (In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word WAS God; The word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory), then the United States government has officially declared that Jesus, or Christianity is our official "faith." Trying to separate God from Christianity is like trying to separate wood from a tree. It wouldn't matter to me if the United States government as a ruling entity proclaimed Christianity as a "legal" faith; the law(s) of God are much higher than the laws of man. My point was, and is, from an official viewpoint of our founding fathers, although maybe not carved in stone or documented in parchment, this nation was formed under the sanctions of almighty God. Regardless of modern day anti Christ perceptions, history, not Washington confirms this. We must ask ourselves, "What is official?" There was a time in the United States when a handshake was as "officially" binding in a court of law legally as a written contract (still is in Germany), a time when a man's word was his "official" bond (equivalent to an agreed amount of money). So, when men orally agreed in the unified belief and acceptance of God as the sovereign deity and power, swearing an oath, and worship God under the banner of Christianity, it was a done deal, it is official. We don't need Yale lawyers who obviously have difficulty in reading destroying that truth any more than we need them to destroy our constitution. America as a nation is no longer a Christian nation. Four hundred million murdered babies alone nullified any possibility of that title, not counting homosexuality, pornography, witchcraft and a host of other despicable sins. I have no desire to be technically or politically correct, as long as I am biblically correct, and I have no doubts there. My only desire is to follow the master whithersoever He goeth and to witness to, and warn as many as possible to flee the wrath to come. I will stand on God's word and declare that America per se, will never return to God as a nation, America will be severely judged and not in the too distant future. We do however, need to pull as many as possible out of the hands of Satan and witness the redeeming power of the saving grace of Jesus Christ to them as quickly as we can. This
is every child of God's primary and immediate goal. God has ordained the
judgment of the world, and God's word must come to pass. I consider myself
to be a watchman, one set to warn, not a political activist. It just tears
at my heart to see America in her death throes. One last thought, if
America doesn't officially recognize Christianity as a "faith,"
then why have men had to place their right hand on a "Christian"
bible in every court room in America (a Christian book) for centuries and
swear to tell the truth? Somebody's brains are scrambled in our government
today. History lessons are definitely in order. It was well said,
professing them selves to be wise, they have become fools. Paraphrased. |
