NEWS BRIEF: "Portent In A Pasture? Appearance of Rare Heifer In Israel Spurs Hopes, Fears", The Boston Globe, Sunday, April 6, 1997, by Ethan Bronner, pages A1, A22.

"KFAR HASIDIM, Israel -- She stares out at the world through dewy eyes, stumbling on awkward legs, dipping into her trough with abandon, oblivious to the soaring hopes and apocalyptic fears that have spread with the news of her birth. Watched over by an armed guard in a skullcap and visited by rabbis and other seekers of meaning, this rust-colored six-month-old heifer is hailed as a sign of the coming of the Messiah and decried as a walking atom bomb."

As we discuss this extraordinary story of this most remarkably rare event, keep in mind that Jews in Israel and throughout the world are not a monolithic group. The story, often told, that, "where two or three Baptists are gathered together, you will have five opinions", applies equally well with Jews. Jews throughout the world, but especially in Israel, are very fragmented, politically and religiously. You have Leftist, almost Communist Jews on the one side, and Rightist, Ultra-Orthodox Jews on the other side, with almost every conceivable variation in between. Jews from the Leftist to the Centrist view the Ultra-Orthodox Jew with embarrassment, even to the point of being offended that such persons could be Jewish. A Jewish business executive once remarked to me that he is "embarrassed" by the Hasidim, the Ultra-Orthodox Jew, and he considers it an affront that they exert any kind of influence at all in Israel, in the United States, and elsewhere around the world. Within this article, you will see such viewpoints expressed, by one Jew about another Jew.

The Ultra-Orthodox Jew sees the birth of the Red Heifer as a sign of the soon appearance of the Messiah for whom they are waiting, while the Leftist-Centrist Jew sees the Red Heifer as a potential "atom bomb". The Ultra-Orthodox Jew literally believes the Scriptures, especially the existence of the supernatural, while the Leftist-Centrist Jew does not believe in Scripture, nor do they believe in anything supernatural. And, make no mistake about the fact that feelings run very high and very furiously, between these different Jewish groups.

Now, back to our article:

"Of a variety believed extinct for centuries, the red heifer is seen by some as the missing link needed for religious Jews to rebuild their ancient Temple in Jerusalem. Sacrificing the animal in its third year and using its ashes in a purification rite would allow Jews to return, 2000 years later, to the Temple site, a spot holy to both Jews and Muslims. With tensions already high over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to build a Jewish neighborhood in the section of Jerusalem [which] Palestinians consider theirs, many fear that the calf's arrival could create an explosive situation."

" 'That cow represents the risk of a massive religious war', said Avraham Poraz, a member of parliament from the leftist Meretz Party. 'If the fanatics get hold of it and try to take over the Temple Mount, God knows what will happen. It only takes a few crazies to endanger all of our lives'." This statement from a Leftist Jew is remarkable in several respects: 1) Normally, no one cares what Leftist Jews think or believe, since they represent a small minority; however, if a reporter is seeking to bias his report on a subject which he does not support, then he could turn to the Leftists to get the type of sound byte for which he is looking. 2) Most Leftist Jews are atheists, so this statement invoking the name of God is just a cultural statement. 3) This statement shows that the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple sparks great fear and agony in the minds of the Leftists and many Centrists. Since they really care nothing for the ancient Jewish religion [Old Testament], they abhor the idea of rebuilding the Temple. They are afraid of the war it would cause with the Arabs, and they are afraid that, were the Temple resurrected, the people would so affectionately flock to it, that their influence would diminish to the point of extinction.

4) By calling Ultra-Orthodox Jews, who want to see the Temple rebuilt, "crazies", both this Leftist Jew and the Jewish author of this article, have cast the slant on this exciting news, in the direction in which they desire. By definition, then, anyone who wants to see the Temple rebuilt is a "crazy".

"Born to a black-and-white mother and brown father on a northern Israeli farm ... the calf was brought to the attention of Rabbi Shmaria Shore shortly after its birth. Shore ... said he had his doubts and, after checking with ancient texts, invited a number of rabbis from Jerusalem to come to give their views. They did so several weeks ago and quickly spread word that something truly miraculous seems to have occurred."

"To understand the significance of the heifer requires a knowledge of long-abandoned practices in the extinct Temple as well as a grasp of the place the Temple holds in the collective unconscious of religious Jews. For strictly Orthodox Jews the Temple stands for the Jewish people's direct link to God, its place as His chosen people. Built by King Solomon around 950 B.C., and destroyed and rebuilt and expanded over the succeeding centuries until its final destruction by the Romans in 70 A.D., the Temple was the center of Jewish life where daily animal sacrifices were overseen by the priestly classes of Levites and Cohens."

"The Temples' destruction meant that Jewish religious life had to be recreated. Prayer, Torah study and good works became substitutes for animal sacrifice as a means of seeking favor and forgiveness from God, a development that many modern Jewish thinkers have welcomed. But a yearning for the days of the Temple never entirely died." [Page A-22]

This "re-creation" of the Jewish religion was massive, indeed, after the destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D. Jewish religious leaders did create their own religion, without the blood sacrifices of lambs, bulls, and goats, in spite of the fact that they could continue to read in their Scriptures that God Himself stated that He would forgive their sins only through the shedding of blood [Leviticus 17:11]. But, to preserve their position as religious leaders, Jewish rabbis recreated the path to forgiveness of sin. Did no one ever think to ask them how their "new" religion was viewed by God, Who must accept their sacrifice, Who must be the One Who actually forgives their sin? If anyone ever did ask these questions, history has not recorded it, to the best of my knowledge. Of course, anyone who rejects Jesus Christ as Savior cannot find another path to forgiveness of sin, no matter how hard they may try. And, we know when God considered the old sacrificial system in the Temple to come to an end: when He tore the tapestry separating the Holy of Holies from the Sanctuary, recorded in Matthew 27:51. In the preceding verse, [27:50] Jesus had yielded up His ghost, causing His physical body to die, on the cross. Thus, God officially ended the old sacrificial system of Temple sacrifice the moment Jesus Christ died on the Cross.

Now, let us get back to our article on the Red Heifer. Let us examine, at this point, the significance of the Red Heifer in the original Temple sacrificial system. God personally established the use of the Red Heifer in Temple sacrifice, in Numbers 19:1-10. "And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke: And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face: And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times: And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn: And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer. Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even. And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even. And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin. And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever."

God viewed the burning of the slain Red Heifer as a "purification for sin". Let us examine instruction about this sacrifice from the Holman Bible Dictionary, "Hebrews 9:14 uses the image of the red heifer ceremony to picture [Jesus] Christ's cleansing believers of the effect of "dead works." Dead works refer either to "acts that lead to death" ("useless rituals" in view of salvation) or works produced prior to being made alive in Christ (compare Heb. 6:1)." Thus, the sacrifice and the burning of the Red Heifer was a type, or a picture, of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross.

The central fact of the significance of finding this Red Heifer which would make an acceptable Temple ritual sacrifice is this: Since Israel recaptured the city of Jerusalem in the 1967 war, Ultra-Orthodox Jews have been dreaming of the day in which they will be able to rebuild the Temple and restart animal sacrifices. However, many obstacles remained in their way, some of which they have solved, and some they realized could only be supernaturally solved. The Temple could not be rebuilt and sacrifices begin again, unless an acceptable Red Heifer was found, and these animals had been extinct for centuries.

As a result, Ultra-Orthodox Jews have been fervently praying that G-d Himself would intervene to reproduce the Red Heifer. THEREFORE, when the Red Heifer miraculously appeared, against all genetic odds, these Ultra-Orthodox Jews correctly viewed this miracle as THE sign from God that He wanted the Temple to be rebuilt. This is the true significance of the reappearance of the Red Heifer!! And, you know something? These Ultra-Orthodox Jews are theologically correct, in that God was unmistakenly behind this miraculous birth of the Red Heifer. They are theologically correct in their assessment that God is once again dealing with Israel like He did in the Old Testament times. They are theologically correct in their assessment that God is taking Israel down the "Last Days" pathway to the ultimate appearance of their Messiah! But the precise path God will cause Israel to walk in the next few years will be an absolute shock to every one of them!! They believe Messiah will appear to rebuild their Temple; when a man arises, performing supernatural signs and wonders, and claiming to be their Messiah, for whom they have been fervently awaiting, they will believe him. Thus, Jesus' prophecy will have been fulfilled, when He lamented, "I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive." (John 5:43) Of whom was Jesus speaking? Antichrist!! The Jews are about to receive Antichrist, believing he is their true Messiah. Then, once they officially proclaim him to be their Messiah, the 7 years of the Tribulation Period will begin.

The ultimate drama of the ages is about to begin! And, we have a front row seat!!!

Let us return now to this Boston globe article, and examine the implications of this scenario for the Muslims. After all, if the Jews are to rebuild their Temple, they can only build it on the Holy of Holies on the Temple Mount (God will allow it to be built no where else), the precise location of the Muslim Dome of the Rock and a small cupola adjacent to it called the "al-Aqsa Mosque". The two buildings are together considered to be one, referred to here singularly as the Dome of the Rock.

Obviously, the Dome of the Rock must be demolished before Messiah can rebuild the Jewish Temple. When the Muslims were building the Dome of the Rock 1,300 years ago, they carefully and methodically located it on the Holy of Holies, knowing that the Jews could not build their Temple anywhere else on Earth. Their plan was that the physical presence of their Dome on the Holy of Holies would forever prevent the Jews from rebuilding their Temple. Today, many Jews understand and fear that, if the Dome were ever demolished, Israel would instantly find herself at war with the world's 1 billion Muslims.

While this is true, I believe the fears of these Jews is misplaced. The demolition of the Dome of the Rock will not be the event to trigger a global war with Islam; rather, the Dome of the Rock will be destroyed during the midst of a global war with Islam!!!

We have repeatedly discussed the fact that the New World Order Plan calls for the Antichrist to come striding through the dust, smoke, and destruction of a Third World War between Israel and her Arab neighbors. [See NEWS1010, 1015, 1026, 1035, 1038, 1056, and 1057]. Today, this Third World War, planned since 1870, is about to explode. The newspapers in Israel are full of stories of crisis, as Israelis instinctively understand what is about to befall them. Many Jews are understandably afraid; after all, Israel is vastly outnumbered and outgunned, with many reports that the Arabs have atomic weapons at long last, and most probably, chemical and/or biological weapons, with the missiles to deliver all of these types of weapons. Those Jews who do not believe in the God of Abraham and Isaac, the God of Israel, see no hope in this next war, only annihilation. Therefore, these Jews seek to avoid this war at all costs. This is the viewpoint of this article in the Boston Globe, so let us return there.

"A few Jewish fanatics have been caught trying to blow up the mosques [Dome of the Rock] to make room for a new Temple that would anchor a renewed Jewish kingdom and trigger the arrival of Messiah. Most everyone else believes such a move would launch a war with the world's 1 billion Muslims. A fear of such an act is nonetheless keen. Palestinian leader Yassir Arafat recently showed a meeting of the Islamic Conference Organization in Pakistan a photo montage sold by Temple advocates that depicts the mount with the ancient Temple in the place of the two mosques. Arafat indicated that the current battle over a Jewish housing project in East Jerusalem is but the first step on a path leading to the new Temple. Last September, when Israel opened a new exit to an archeological tunnel near the mount, Muslims rioted, saying the Jews were seeking to bring down the mosques."

"The vast majority of Jews fiercely reject dreams of returning to the mount, content to have the one remnant of the Temple, the Western Wall, as a symbolic link to a bygone era and leave it at that. And they have been generally unworried about the zeal of a handful of Temple faithful for two reasons. First, to avoid friction with Muslims, the Israeli government forbids Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount. And second, the rabbis have ruled that religious Jews may not even walk on most of the mount for fear that, in their impure state, they will pollute the holiest of earthly places."

It does not matter that a "vast majority of Jews fiercely reject the dreams of returning to the mount" because God's prophecies clearly state that this is His Plan! Consider the following Scriptures:

1) Zion was used by biblical writers in a variety of ways. Many of the psalmists used the term to refer to the Temple built by Solomon (2:6; 48:2; 84:7; 132:13) Therefore, it is highly significant that God foretells in Obadiah 17a, in the context of the "Day of the Lord" [End of the Age], "But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness". In God's eyes, the Dome of the Rock, a mighty symbol of a false religion, renders Mount Zion unholy. The only way this situation can be corrected is for the Dome of the Rock to be removed and God's Temple resurrected.

2) Also, we see, in Matthew 24, the unmistakable implication that Jesus was foretelling the rebuilding of the Temple. In verse 1-2, we see Jesus' prediction that the Temple of which Jews were so proud was going to be totally, thoroughly destroyed. Then, in verse 24:15, we see Jesus quoting the prophecy of Daniel 9:27, where the Antichrist defames the Holy of Holies in the Temple! Obviously, for Antichrist to defame the Holy of Holies, the Temple has to be rebuilt!

As to the assertion in the article quoted above, about the fact that the majority of Jews do not support the rebuilding of the Temple, God's faithful in any generation has always been a distinct minority, which God calls His "Remnant". We see that, when Antichrist desecrates the newly created Temple at the mid-point of the Tribulation Period, only one-third of the Jews are protected by God, allowing Antichrist to kill the two-thirds of the unbelieving, unfaithful Jews [Zechariah 13:7-9]. So, we should not be surprised to learn from this Boston Globe article that the "vast majority" of Jews do not support the concept of rebuilding the Temple! Further, we see that it also does not matter one whit whether Arafat or any combination of Arab leaders vigorously oppose this Temple reconstruction. Since this is God's Plan, it will happen no matter what Arafat or any other Arab leader, or any combination of Arab leaders, wants to do. [See NEWS1011, "Arabs Beware!! You Have Embarked on Mission Impossible!"] In this instance, we see that Arafat views the Bar Homa housing project and the new exit of the archeological tunnel as opening salvos in the battle over control of the Temple Mount and the Arab Dome of the Rock!

Did you notice the second reason that secular Jews are not terribly concerned about the "Religious Zealots" and their possible plans concerning the destruction of the Dome of the Rock, as recorded above? They are not concerned because rabbis have issued a ruling that "religious Jews may not even walk on most of the mount for fear that, in their impure state, they will pollute the holiest of earthly places". Exactly!! And, that is where the Red Heifer comes into the picture with devastating force. Let us examine the significance of the Red Heifer in the Temple Sacrificial system which God set up. We have already quoted the entire Scripture in Numbers 9, but let us review again the actual practice as recorded in the Holman Bible Dictionary.

"The function of the red heifer ceremony was production of ash for the water used to remove ritual impurity contracted through contact with a corpse, bones, or a grave (Num. 19). The rite involved: slaughter of a sacrificially acceptable heifer outside the camp; sprinkling blood toward the tent of meeting seven times; burning the entire heifer, including its blood and dung, together with cedarwood, hyssop, and scarlet thread (compare Lev. 14:4); and storing the ash in a clean place outside the camp. The water for removing the impurity contracted through contact with the dead was prepared by mixing running water with the ash. Impure persons and objects were sprinkled on the third and seventh days after contamination to remove uncleanness." This term, "sacrificially acceptable" is critical, because the red heifer could not have any physical imperfections, and could not have any hair of another color mixed in. This red heifer possesses these characteristics now, and great effort is being expended to ensure that the animal does not develop any physical imperfections, or that she might be deliberately damaged in some way.

The Red Heifer was to be slaughtered and burned in her third year. Since this miraculous heifer is now 6 months old, she can be sacrificed in another 30 months. This means that she cannot be sacrificed before October, 1999, but must be sacrificed before she turns 4 years old, in October, 2000. New World Order Plans are full of references to the year, 1999, 2000, and 2001 as being the years in which the Christ will take actions that will set up his kingdom. We shall just have to wait to see how this whole scenario plays out, knowing that God is in charge all the while.

Remember several things about the possible timing of the appearance of Antichrist:

1) The Bible is silent on specific timing, saying only that, when we see the events of Matthew 24 and Luke 21 occurring together, we will know that the events of the Tribulation Period, culminating in the return of Jesus Christ, is imminent. The return of Israel back to her land as a nation, is THE event which triggers all the other End Time events to begin happening. Of course, Israel miraculously returned to her land in 1948, and God has been protecting her against overwhelming enemies since, just as He did in the Old Testament.

2) New World Order Plans envision Antichrist arising in Israel, at the peak of a global war that is being fought primarily between Israel and her immediate Arab neighbors [See NEWS1056 and 1057 for in depth coverage of this vital war]. The stage for this planned war is now set, and is ready to explode at any time, quite possibly during a Jewish High Holy Days' celebration!

Let us review some pertinent excerpts concerning the Plan to produce Antichrist in such a way as to deceive the Jews and the Christians into thinking he is their Messiah. We quote from a most extraordinary book, "The Armageddon Script: Prophecy In Action", by Peter Lemesurier, St. Martin's Press, 1981, ISBN: 0-312-04922-6. This book boldly declares that the appearance of Antichrist will be a deliberate hoax upon the peoples of the world "for their own good" and will be a deliberate staging of all the Biblical prophecies for which Jews and Christians are awaiting. Direct quotes will be in quotation marks, while my comments will be in brackets [ ].

Listen carefully to this carefully planned New World Order script [Page 231]

"The required scenario, therefore, is plain. Referring to our earlier analysis, we can even tabulate its main features for easy reference. Those of Phase One, for example, will run as follows:"

"(a) The restored Messiah must appear on Jerusalem's Mount of Olives at the time of a great earthquake." [Staging Zechariah 14:1-4; Jesus Christ will fulfill this prophecy at the very end when He comes back to seize Antichrist and begin to set up His Millennial Kingdom]

"(b) He must enter Jerusalem from the east, escorted by a procession of rejoicing followers dressed in shining white." [Staging Zechariah 9:9, which Jesus fulfilled in John 12:12-15, in what we celebrate as Palm Sunday. It was at this time that Jesus was hailed by the people as their King, their Messiah]

"(c) Visiting the tomb of his spiritual ancestor, King David, he must emerge in suitably-perfumed royal robes as the great monarch returned." [Staging the fulfillment that Messiah be from the House of David, 2 Samuel 7:4-16. This requirement is severe, so much so that the Gospel of Matthew begins with the genealogy, proving that Jesus descended from the line of David. The requirement for this New World Order Christ to prove his direct lineage from the line of David will be equally severe! This act of coming out of King David's tomb is a symbolic gesture designed to underscore his ability to prove his lineage]

"d) Supported by a popular rising, he must proceed with his followers to the Temple Mount, there to be enthroned, anointed and crowned King of the New Israel". Now, isn't that interesting? The Antichrist has just staged his appearance at the conclusion of a terribly destructive war between Israel and her Arab neighbors. He has appeared as their Messiah, deliberately beginning to enact the various Messianic prophecies for which the Ultra-Orthodox Jews are looking in Messiah. Now, after reenacting three major Messianic prophecies, he proceeds to the Temple Mount, to be crowned King Messiah of the Jews! Wait a minute. Jews currently are not even allowed to walk on the Temple Mount, or to pray there, much less crown their Messiah there.

What has happened on the Temple Mount that would allow this coronation? Peter Lemesurier tells us, in two different locations, what will happen to the present Dome of the Rock. Listen carefully to his words: [Page 233]

"(1) ... the new world-leader must prepare himself for his role. He must study the scriptures and the Dead Sea Scrolls, immerse himself in current Jewish messianic expectations, thoroughly survey the general locality and familiarise himself with all the major prophecies and the best in New Age religious thought. In short, he must create in his own mind a crystal-clear idea of the vision which he has to fulfill. For only in this way can that vision be guaranteed to come into manifestation."

"If, in the interim, events conspire to permit the Israeli authorities to start work on rebuilding the ancient Temple, that will, of course, be all to the good. But the prophecies do not suggest that this is a prerequisite for the new messianic initiative, and so the expected earthquake can cheerfully be left to clear the site for the rebuilding operations ..."

This shocking section shows that New World Order Planners are clearly on the side of the Israelis on this issue of control of the Temple Mount. Their "Messianic" plan for Antichrist envisions that the Dome of the Rock will be destroyed by the earthquake which will occur in the Mount of Olives, enabling him to simulate Zechariah 14:4, as we described above. At this point, it is very important to stop and realize that military technology has progressed to the point where earthquakes can be caused at will by placing the proper explosive charge at the right place on an existing fault line. Since a significant fault line passes directly through the Mount of Olives, New World Order Planners will have no difficulty causing an earthquake when they want it to occur, on the Mount of Olives, and of sufficient size to also destroy the Dome of the Rock. The Arabs that are left from the devastating war that has just preceded this earthquake can offer little resistance to a "natural" event that destroyed the Dome of the Rock. And, they will be absolutely powerless to prevent this charismatic leader from leading the charge to rebuild the Jewish Temple.

"(b) .. he must be duly enthroned and anointed with oil (in token of Psalm 45:6-7) amid the rubble of the Dome of the Rock, close to the site of the former Holy of Holies. But the kingdom of which he must go on to be crowned king (in accordance with Psalm 21:3) is to be a world-kingdom -- the new kingdom of Israel .... not the mere, political state of the same name ... his immediate task will be to found, not a new political order, but a new spiritual one, in preparation for an even greater Kingdom that will encompass both. The Israeli authorities need have no immediate qualms, therefore. The plan outlined in the original Essene War Rule allows all of six years for the winning-over of Jerusalem and the re-establishment of the Temple worship, and a seventh for the laying of further plans for world-conquest." [Page 235; emphasis mine]

Wow!! Lemesurier has just revealed that Antichrist plans for seven (7) years to be the time he wins over Israel and begins his global government. Of course, this is exactly the time God has prophesied for the Tribulation Period!!

Again, in this passage, you can see that Antichrist plans for the Dome of the Rock to be demolished so he can lead Israel into rebuilding it for the express purpose of establishing Temple worship again. But, as you read Lemesurier's bold plan carefully, you see other planned details as well. Listen. "The great coronation-ceremony, then, must proceed beneath the persistent pall of smoke which no doubt, for the onlookers, serve as a terrifying reminder of the Divine power and wrath. Any after tremors of the earthquake will no doubt add even more to the overwhelming effect of the occasion. There is no way of knowing, indeed, how far nature will contribute to the event in other ways. Nor, for that matter, should those organising the ceremony be overly-shy of using artificial effects of their own devising. And if thunder and lightening there are to be, then there is no reason why they should not provide them, perhaps using the facilities provided by the underground workings with which the area is riddled ... What is important, after all, is that the prophecies should be fulfilled, not necessarily how. Effect, in this case, is all, provided that it is convincing." [Page 235; emphasis mine]

This bold plan to stage the appearance of Antichrist and his coronation as the King Messiah of Israel makes me think of certain prophecies:

1) Matthew 24:24, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

2) 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12, "Even him [Antichrist], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. That they all might be damned who believed not..."

Doesn't this bold plan by Lemesurier qualify for the "lying signs and wonders" spoken of by the Apostle Paul, above? In Lemesurier's own words, "Effect, in this case, is all, provided that it is convincing." Truly, the peoples of the world will be "convinced" beyond all measure by the occult power of Antichrist, aided by the fact that God will be withholding His Restraining Power. I have long believed that God has allowed the Hollywood film industry to achieve unbelievable technological abilities to create scenes that look so real they could be mistaken for actual news coverage of breaking stories. When Antichrist arises, then, he would utilize this technological capability to deceive the peoples of the world, in direct fulfillment of Scripture!

Therefore, I was more than a little interested when Lemesurier began talking of "technological phenomenon" aiding the Antichrist in his deception. "True, it is not absolutely necessary that the expected Cloud of the Presence should be a visible phenomenon at all ... Belief sometimes needs a physical crutch. Various commentators have suggested that, even during the Exodus itself, the semi-legendary Cloud of the Presence may, like the equally-legendary pillar of fire and smoke which accompanied the long march, have been some kind of technological phenomenon. Certainly, the use of such special effects should not be ruled out on this occasion." [Page 235-236]

Do not be deceived! Hollywood is going to be mightily involved in aiding and abetting this unparalleled deception. Hollywood is going to help sell Antichrist to the unsaved of this world. People will not realize they are looking at a slick film rather than a live event, and they will believe the lie.

But, Lemesurier has one more surprise up his sleeve. We Fundamental Christians have long understood that the Mass Media in America is actively supporting the Liberal Government and its causes for many, many decades. Therefore, does it not seem logical that Sam Donaldson and other TV anchors will do their best to aid this deception? Does it not seem logical that the Editorial boards of major, influential newspapers and magazines would also aid in this deception? It surely seems logical to me. Now, listen to the next statement from Lemesurier, immediately after his statement, above, about the use of special effects playing a pivotal role in the deception of Antichrist.

"The world's news-media can be counted upon to do the rest." [Page 236]

In other words, after the peoples of the world have been subjected to phenomena caused by unprecedented occult power, and after they have been subjected to the most effective, realistic film ever produced showing Antichrist performing unbelievable feats, they will then be subjected to seeing the people in Mass Media earnestly reporting everything as if it were legitimate news!! Truly, the deception will be unbelievable. Most of the unsaved peoples of the world will believe the lie. And, Scriptural prophecy will have been completely, precisely fulfilled.

After the Coronation as King Messiah of Israel, the "New David" [Antichrist] will then embark on his 7-year plan for Israel and the world. Lemesurier tells us what this next step will be. "Once crowned, the New David's first task must, of course, be to recall his people to their ancient Covenant (as presaged by Psalm 22) in view of the imminence of its fulfillment." In other words, the new King Messiah will call the Jewish people back into their Temple to begin practicing the animal sacrifices of the Old Covenant! While Lemesurier does not address the issue of Antichrist "confirming the covenant" with the leaders of Israel in fulfillment of Daniel 9:27, you may rest assured that he will confirm Israel's National Covenant -- ratified in 1993 -- at the time of the opening of the new Temple. Therefore, after Coronation, King Messiah will take the Jewish people back to the Temple Mount to encourage them to clear the rubble of the Dome of the Rock, and quickly rebuild their Temple.

Thus, we return to our original subject of the Red Heifer. Since she must be 36 months old, at minimum, to be sacrificed, the earliest she would be ready would be September-October, 1999. The religious Jewish calendar is rich with events during this time period:

1) The Feast of Trumpets [Lev 23:24-25; Numbers 29:1]

2) The Day of Atonement [Lev 16:29-30]

3) The Feast of Tabernacles -- lived in tents -- First-fruits of wine and oil [Lev 23:34; Deuteronomy 16:13]

4) The Great Day [Numbers 29:35], called "a solemn assembly"

This Red Heifer could be sacrificed during one of these momentous religious events, probably as part of the opening celebrations of the new Temple. This possibility makes it logical that Antichrist might be very close to staging his appearance, coming during the war between Israel and her immediate Arab neighbors. If he were to stage his appearance in 1997, he would have over 2 years to manipulate events so that all the peoples of the world -- but especially the Ultra-Orthodox Jews -- that he is who he says he is. Then, in September-October, 1999, he would be ready with the newly built Temple so he can "confirm the covenant" and begin the Tribulation Period. Remember, Biblical prophecy does not forbid Antichrist from being in the world, actively convincing people he is the Messiah, for longer than 7 years. Prophecy only dictates that, once he confirms the covenant, he has only 7 Jewish years left to reign.

The year, 1999, seems to hold great significance for the New World Order Planners, also. Lemesurier says, "Perhaps this is why Mrs. Dixon foresees the appearance of a great cross in the sky in 1999 leading to what she sees as a distorted kind of 'Christian unity', and why the Great Pyramid seems to foresee the establishment of the new 'Kingdom of the Spirit' from the same year. 1999, after all, appears to mark the beginning of the third millennium (i.e., the 'third day') after the birth of Jesus of Nazareth." [Page 239] This reference to the "third day" seems to be taken from the prophecy in Hosea 6:1-2. Throughout New Age writings, the year 1999 is mentioned as the possible starting point of the kingdom of Antichrist, the time in which he will begin the "cleansing of the earth".

As I said before, world events are rapidly building to a conclusion, and we have a front row seat!! Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.
